The usual breakage in this job is the gap between what the buyer approved and what someone types into the next system. Because the cart is opened against a specific published revision, the order that comes out names the same products, the same colorways and sizes, and the same decoration the buyer agreed to.

Planning
Planning an order means resolving it against the listings
An order is planned against the supplier listings that the collection was built from, so the quantities, variants and decoration are checked against real listing data rather than against a memory of it. What you get is a resolved plan you can act on.

The boundary
Where MerchMaker stops, deliberately
MerchMaker does not submit work orders to your decorator, does not raise supplier purchase orders, and does not ship. Those are relationships and liabilities that belong to you, and a tool that pretends otherwise is the one that loses an order quietly. The honest version is a clean handoff with nothing lost in it.

Does MerchMaker place the supplier order for me?
No. It plans the order against the supplier listings and hands you the result. Raising the purchase order and briefing the decorator stay with you.
Why build the order planning at all then?
Because the expensive mistakes in this job happen in the retyping — a colorway that changed, a quantity under the minimum, a decoration location nobody confirmed. Planning catches those against the real listing data.
Where do shipping and delivery dates come from?
From you and your suppliers. MerchMaker does not quote or promise them, because it is not the party that can keep the promise.
