Distributor solution
A collection the buyer can actually buy from
Publishing turns a collection into a page with a cart behind it. The buyer adds items, sees the price and the minimum, and pays by card without ever creating an account.
- Checkout
- Stripe, guest cart, no buyer account
- Currency and shipping
- US dollars, shipping inside the United States
- Minimums
- The supplier's own, refused in the cart if unmet
How buying works
Guest checkout, because an account is a reason to leave
The buyer on the other end of the link is often one person in a marketing team who will do this once. Asking them to make an account first is the cheapest way to lose the order, so the cart is a guest cart and payment goes through Stripe.
- No account, no password, no invitation for the buyer
- Card payment through Stripe
- The cart belongs to the exact published revision it was opened against
Minimums
The minimum is the supplier's, and the cart enforces it
Each listing carries the minimum quantity the supplier will actually produce. When a line is below it the cart refuses that line and says what the minimum is, before any money moves. That is the opposite of taking an order and having the conversation afterwards.
- Minimums come from the supplier listing, not from us
- An under-minimum line is refused with the required quantity named
- The buyer finds out while they can still change the quantity
Scope
What this is not
This is a buyer-facing page for a curated collection you control, sold in US dollars and shipped within the United States. It is not a permanent company store with inventory, accounts and reorder history, and calling it one would waste your evaluation.
- US dollars only, and US shipping addresses only
- No buyer accounts, so no saved addresses or order history
- The distributor decides what is in the collection and when it is published
Questions
Can buyers outside the US order?
Not today. Checkout accepts United States shipping addresses and prices in US dollars.
Is this a company store?
No. It is a published collection with a cart. There are no buyer accounts and no standing inventory behind it.
What stops someone ordering ten units of a 48-piece minimum?
The cart does. Pricing refuses the line and names the quantity the supplier requires, before the payment step.
