Distributor solution
A presentation the client can answer in place
A published collection is a page, not an attachment. The buyer opens it without an account, sees the assortment with your pricing on it, and tells you what they think on the item itself.
- What you send
- One link to a published collection
- What the buyer can do
- React, comment, and check out as a guest
- What they see on price
- Your price, and the supplier's minimum, before paying
The artefact
A page beats a deck because it stays current
A deck is a snapshot: the moment a product changes colorway or a price moves, every copy in every inbox is wrong and nobody knows it. A collection is published from the data behind it, and when you need to change something you publish a new revision rather than resending a file.
- One URL, so there is no question which version the client has
- Revisions are explicit, and the collection records them
- The buyer never needs an account to look at it
Feedback
Comments land on the product, not in a thread
Buyers react to individual items and leave comments against them. That arrives back in the app attached to the item it was about, which is the difference between a note you can act on and a paragraph in an email that mentions three products.
- Reactions and comments are per item
- You read them back beside the collection, in order
- Nothing in the feedback path requires the buyer to sign in
Price
Say the number, and say the minimum
You set the margin and the pricing policy before publishing, and the collection shows the buyer the price they would pay. The supplier's minimum quantity travels with the product: if a line is under it, the cart says so rather than taking the money and surprising someone later.
- Margin and pricing policy are set by you, per collection
- The supplier's wholesale cost is never shown to the buyer
- A line under the supplier's minimum is refused before payment
Questions
Does the client need an account?
No. The share link opens for anyone who has it, and reacting, commenting and checking out all work without signing in.
Can I change a collection after I have sent it?
Yes. You publish a new revision, and the same link serves it. There is no second URL to chase down.
Can the buyer see what I paid?
No. The buyer sees your price. Supplier cost stays on your side of the collection.
